Part 1: The Foundation – Who Is the Giver of Life?

Recently I have been thinking a lot about this subject. Who is the giver of life? Who created us? What does our life matter and does it matter? Does Yahweh have a purpose and a plan for our life?

Have you ever thought about these questions before? This is what I’d like to talk about today as I think it’s so important! What does scripture say concerning these questions? If our lives matter, why does it matter? If our days are numbered, who numbers them? I titled this article “The Foundation”, as I think it really is the foundation. We need to know who created us. We need to know why our life matters. We need to know who is in control of our days. And we need to know if we were created for a purpose and a plan, and if so, what that purpose and plan involves. For if we don’t understand this, how will we understand the meaning and worth of our lives? Does my life matter and does YOUR life matter?

Let’s start at ground zero…

Who is the giver of life? Who created us?

And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: Yahweh gave, and Yahweh hath taken away; blessed be the name of Yahweh. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.” Job 1:21-22 “Did not he that made me in the womb make him? and did not one fashion us in the womb?” Job 31:15

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!” Psalms 139:14-17

So who created you, my precious sisters, and who created me? Did not Yahweh create us? Did He not form us in the secret place of our mother’s womb? Is He not the giver of life…our life?

Some may say that our parents created us, but what does scripture tell us? Sisters, this is so important! We must understand who gave us life. Rachel didn’t quite understand this. She was upset with Jacob for not “giving her children”, but listen to what Jacob said in response to that…

And Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God’s stead, who hath withheld from thee the fruit of the womb?” Genesis 30:2

So who gives life and who withholds life? We can see this answer more clearly in verse 22… “And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb.” (Genesis 30:22) It’s Yahweh who gives life…it’s He who opens our parents wombs, precious sisters! Yes, He uses our parents, but ultimately, it’s not them that breathes life into us, it’s God Himself. And Yahweh God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7 Again, let’s go back and read Genesis 1. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” Genesis 1:27

Sisters, Yahweh tells us that it is HE who creates us, and He creates us in His own image. He creates. He gives life. He breathed life into us, my precious sisters! Yahweh gave you life! :o)

So the next question is…

Why did Yahweh give us life?

And thou shalt love Yahweh thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.” Deuteronomy 6:5

And Yahshua answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Mark 12:29-30

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of Yahweh charged you, to love Yahweh your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Joshua 22:5

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.” Ecclesiastes 12:13

Yahweh gave us life so that we could then turn around and love Him and serve Him with our whole heart, soul, strength and with all our might! Sisters, we are to fear and obey Yahweh our God with everything we have!! This is our whole duty! This is why we are here!

So…

Did He create us for a purpose and a plan?

YES! :o)

For I know the thoughts (plans) that I think toward you, saith Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

Yahweh created you with a very special plan and for a very special purpose! You are not an accident! You are not a mistake! Yahweh created you, my sister, in His own image! He took the time to write down and form each of your members! Who you are, is just who Yahweh created you to be! He knit you together in your mothers womb. Not your parents. Not the doctors. And not by accident!

Yahweh loves you, my sisters. Each and every single one of you! “…I have loved thee with an everlasting love:..” (Jeremiah 31:3) “I have loved you, saith Yahweh…” (Malachi 1:2)

And girls, Yahweh loved you so much, that He sent you His only begotten Son, so that you would have eternal life in and with Him! For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 Talk about a powerful and strong love!

My precious sisters…

Will you surrender your life to His plan? Will you love Him?
