I greatly enjoy reading your posts. What a way to encourage ladies today. And modesty! What and important topic to cover.
A friend gave me the idea of 'kick pleats' to make skirts with slits modest. If you find a corresponding piece of fabric that matches the skirt tone, you can cut out a rectangular peice of fabric, you can gather one end, and stitch it across the top of the slit and down both sides. The skirt still looks nice and you can still walk in it!

Dear sister,

Excellent analysis, and correct, of course. But it also applies to us fathers. Perhaps even moreso, since we must set the example.

Dear Grace,

I was just about to contact you and ask you about an update on your grandma! May Yahweh bless you all with peace and keep softening your grandmothers heart for Him!
I will pass the word along to my dear family and we will be praying for your friends, too! Yahweh can work in mysterious ways! Keep trusting! If it's His will, they'll be able to stay!

"Dear Heavenly Father,
Father, I ask that you would please continue to be with Grace's grandmother as she undergoes treatment. Father, please soften her heart towards you and help her to realize her great need for you! Please comfort her and strengthen her as she continues to fight this battle.
I also ask that you would please bring work along for Grace's friends Father, if it be your will. Father, help them to know how to go about this, where to look and where you would like them. Help them to continue to trust deeply in you and to follow your abiding will for their lives.
And Father, I want to thank you for Grace and her love for her family and friends. Bless her Father. Help her know how to continue to minister your love to those around her.

In your Son's precious name, Yahshua! Amen"

Hello,
My grandma just got her head shaved today and she said that she cried and the girl who had to do her hair cried, as well as her husband. Please keep her in your prayers and pray that she will not be too down heartened by this.

We are also going to drive out and go and see them today at their house which is almost 2 hrs away from our house, so please keep our driving safety in your prayers.

Also, my friend's family came from India to try and find a job in America to get a work visa to be able to stay in America, and their visa has been extended many times, and will run out on April 1rst, and they cannot get their visa extended any more unless their dad gets a job by April.

Thank you so much for being here to pray for all of this! :)

Shirley, I tried to send you a private email, but your email was bouncing back. Here's what I wrote that I hope will explain this a bit better. Love always, Samantha

Shirley,

Biblically, yes a couple is not supposed to come together during her cycle.
That is one time that Yahweh forbids it, actually. You can read about this in
Lev 15. After they have a baby, is also another time, Lev 12. He also forbids
touching during the time of her cycle, as well.

NFP calls for more than just this week of separation. We can see clear
guidance in scripture concerning a woman's cycle. We can also see that He
tells us that for set times of prayer and fasting, refraining is fine. But
other than that, He tells us that we should not refrain from each other (as in
purposefully saying no to it). The reason I believe, as quoted in scripture,
is long times of refraining, causes stumbling. Take me for an example. My
cycles are longer than some (31 days long - the entire cycle, not just
menstruation). You are already given the command to not come together when
your cycle is here (7 days or longer, depending on the length of your cycle,
but 7 days is a minimal according to Lev 15). Then you take NFP and for
someone like me, that would be another (about) 11 days. That's 18 days, out of
28-31 day month, not being able to come together. This, I believe, according
to scripture, is wrong.

But this isn't the only reason that I believe NFP is wrong, biblically. I
believe Yahweh clearly teaches throughout His word that He is the one that
closes and He is the one that opens our wombs. I don't believe that this is
supposed to be something that we determine, but Him. An interesting study that
you may want to do is a word study on "womb/s". It is really interesting to
see what He says. I really enjoyed doing a study on that word and it really
opened my eyes concerning it. Another interesting word studying is on nursing.

Also, something to consider. I know a lot of people think that because I
believe that Yahweh controls our wombs (or should), that I believe that we
should try to have as many children as we possibly can. This is not the case
at all. I believe that we shouldn't prevent children. Nor do I believe we
should try to have children. Let me try to explain. Some people take control
of their wombs by stopping or not allowing Yahweh to open their wombs. Others
take control by forcing their wombs to open, by routes of fertility treatments
etc. Neither do I believe is correct.

I also don't believe in nursing on a bottled schedule (forcing spacing
between feedings, which came about because of bottles as the formula can't
digest quickly, unlike breast milk that totally digests in about 40 minutes).
This tells your body that you are not supporting another life. Yahweh placed
hormones within our bodies and while we're nursing they tell our bodies to
stop cycling. As your feedings space out, it lets your body know that you are
not supporting a life entirely, therefore it will start cycling again. I don't
believe you should nurse for the sole purpose of preventing children. I
believe in nursing children, because that is the way Yahweh created our
bodies. If He opens the womb, wonderful. If not, wonderful. It's in His hands.
Do you see what I mean? It isn't that I am trying to tell people to "have as
many children as possible". It is simply that I believe that Yahweh is control
of it. Abraham and Sarah in scripture only had Isaac. Rebekah and Isaac only
had the twins. Rachel only had Joseph and Benjamin. The list goes on and on.
As someone pointed out, Jacob had 4 wives, but only 13 children. It wasn't
that he was controlling his wombs. It was simply that scripture says that
Yahweh closed their wombs and only opened it those set times. In fact, Rachel
looked at Jacob and begged him to give her children and Jacob responded "Am I
in God's stead?" We can see the couples, when their wombs were not opened,
going to Yahweh and asking Him to open them. They understood that He was the
One in control of it and that He was the one stopping it. It's a truly
beautiful picture. He truly knows what is best for each couple.

For examples of today, we know MANY families who Yahweh only opened their
wombs once, twice, three times and some couples, none. Just because we believe
in letting Yahweh control our wombs, doesn't mean that we will end up with a
large family. For many, they never have a large family. But we believe that
regardless as to how many times Yahweh opens it, that is how many children is
best for us. We don't force it open and we don't force it shut. In fact, our
family would have loved to have more children, but Yahweh closed our womb and
hasn't reopened it (since our last miscarriage many years ago).

I hope this helps explain what I was trying to explain, on my site. I believe
it's simply a matter of trusting Yahweh, just as I trust Him with my life.

Love always,
Samantha

I see that the reason NFP is not ok is because of the time during the cycle when the husband and wife would be apart. Isn't this true whether you are following this practice or not? I think most couples do abstain while cycling, is it wrong then too?
